11.21.2001 wednesday- Into Belize city on 10:30 bus. To the PC office iwth a silent Sheela. PC office socialization. Lots o’PCVs arriving. Walked to the Orchid with Scott and Kevin. TV with Jess and erin. cocktail party at Amanda, Maura and Duncan’s house. Fun time: drunk jess in the butterfly costume. Excellent “wings” Lots of photos [must find these!]
11.22.2001 Boring stuff at the office: cultural b.s. Back to the Orchid with Aaron. checked into our room. Showered. Over to Maura’s to cook (I helped Jess). Scored some tupperware and stuff from DA’s parents. 4:30 to Bill’s Great Thanksgiving Day feast. Lots of people. Britney spears concert on tv, Mano and his new son- beautiful baby. Lovely holiday. Back ot the orchid. Played cards with Aaron, John and Matt.
11.23.2001- more PC office B.S. Done by 2pm, on a ferry by 3pm, to San Pedro. Met up with Maralyn, Kenneth, Paula. Dinner, then out for beers an ddoing the Pedro scene. Kenneth let us stay at his house.
11.24.2001-Saturday Breakfast, staring at the sea. they went diving, I called home. Browsed the giftshops. dinner with Jill and Katie (nori rolls and wasabe..yum!) Then ice cream and beers.
11.25. 2001 Sunday, up lazily, breakfast, cards, then Aaron and I were back on the boat for Belize City. Bus ride, cab to home. Showers, soup and grilled cheese.
11.26.2001 Monday rainy. stayed in. 2 cups coffee. Looking over the curriculum. then, Martha’s for lunch and to the CET to compute for free, but agonizingly slow. Home, we made pizza, beers, played cards.
11.27. 2001 Tuesday. Jumpstart program, one cup coffee and a shower, then walked over to Santa Elena. Easy morning. Napped back at Aaron’s hammock. Packed, left for Susanne’s place. Passing my house that rupert is busily working on!
